HepCCATT is a model initiative to expand and improve hepatitis C testing and care, particularly in underserved communities. Our Chicago-based alliance unites healthcare providers, government agencies, community organizations, and corporate partners.
HepCCATT brings Chicago’s public health system together to:
- Raise public awareness about hepatitis C among targeted groups and communities
- Train healthcare providers to test and care for hepatitis C at community health centers
- Share knowledge about hepatitis C learned from changes in clinical testing and care
- Expand access to hepatitis C care through advocacy with a wide range of stakeholders
By leveraging the strengths and diversity of our partners, HepCCATT works to build a sustainable public health infrastructure and a robust safety net to significantly reduce the number of undiagnosed and untreated hepatitis C infections among Chicago’s most highly affected communities.
